A stool made entirely out of 18 gauge sheet metal cut on a metal laser cutter. The design seeks to be an object you would find on an alien starship. The constaints where: only use 2 by 4 foot size sheet metal, only bend by hand (so all bends where predesigned), and do not use external fasteners. For ergonomic purposes, the top piece includes a cut pattern that allows for bending of sheet metal in all directions. To fit the material size constraint, the components are tesselated sin/cos curves. Finished with powder coating. Was able to hold more than 200 pounds!
